Welcome

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my Blog. I'm new to this so please bear with me. I have always been overweight and unhappy about myself for as long as I remember.

I have tried to lose weight so many times I've lost count. Then one day everything clicked and I realised that I didn't need to put a time limit and being a perfect weight and being perfect. If I worked at it a little bit everyday it would all come together. So I joined Weight Watchers for the third time and without putting pressure on myself and feeling like a failure decided I would just try baby steps everyday.

This decision led to a new way of thinking and a new me........

Water, water, water!

I have always liked water but never managed to get a huge amount in every day. The reason for this is I dislike the taste of tap water and will only drink bottled.

I notice when I do drink more water I tend to go the bathroom lots more in every way! It really seems to get things.. Em...moving!

We normally buy 12litres of water every time we do a shop but yesterday
I decided yesterday to head out and buy a bobble water bottle. I love the design and it has an inbuilt filter!

So far so good. I'm loving my bottle and already have 2litres consumed for the day and will bring a third litre to work.
I purchased the litre bottle with pink filter and Chris got the green one. The filters need to be replaced every 150litres or 2months and there are multiple colour options.

Here are our new shiny bottles!

Week 5 Weigh In!

This week was week number five back on Weight Watchers. Really enjoying being on plan and eating good. I stick to my 31 pro points every day. After weigh in myself and Chris dip into our 49 weeklies and have a treat then. I find this helps me better than using them midweek or dipping in every day. This week despite being on track I was up a 1/2lb. I know I was on plan and overall I've lost 7lb in 5 weeks which is perfect as my aim is 1lb per week.

I have 4 exams down and 3 more to go! Cannot wait to have my summer with no college work.

Every week we make a batch of chilli mince with veg. It's 4 portions so we both get two days of dinner. I had a portion yesterday with pasta and today I had the remaining on 2 WW wraps with lettuce & cheese.

12 Pro Points, filling and delicious!
Mince - 3
Onions, red pepper & mushrooms - 0
WW chilli con carne sauce - 1
Cheese 25g - 2
2 WW wraps - 6
Lettuce - 0

Weigh In Nerves!

Well I've had a good week, within points all week long and even under by one on a couple of days. I had a sneaky peak on the scales which I must admit I do most weeks. I know many people don't agree with this but I don't let it get to me too much whether its good or bad I'm just nosy. When I did look at the scales it showed a 3lb gain! I don't know how this could be possible.
I am very stressed at the moment and in the middle of exams. My exam today went hideously and the picture below describes my week perfectly! I haven't been getting exercise in but surely that should lead me to maintain and not have a gain. I guess we will see tomorrow at weigh in but to be honest I am not looking forward to it!
I know weigh loss comes with its highs and lows so no matter what the scales says I know that I am being better to my body by eating better and that gives me the motivation to carry on!
Fingers crossed! I am praying to the weight watchers gods! PLEASE!!!!!! Even a maintain!

Study, stress and food!!

Hi all,

Well very stressful day today! Psychology exam today so was stressed over that then everything just went wrong today.
Dropped my student card down the toilet aswell! Grr!

Just wanted chocolate and treats! Picked the boyfriend up from work and went and did our weekly shopping! Got loads of healthy stuff! Came home and made a batch of chilli mince. Had it tonight in a bowl topped with mash and grated cheese. It was delicious and quick!

Made a double batch of mince so will have the second batch tomorrow with nachos. Can't wait! An achievement to be on track today as I was in such bad mood because my day was going so badly.

Cheese was yet to melt on the mash in the picture.

Week 4 Weigh In and my Biggest support!

Well today was my fourth weigh since rejoining WeightWatchers. I lost another 2.5lb this week and am over the moon! That's 7.5lb in 4 weeks! Couldn't be happier as I've been aiming for 1lb per week!

My lovely boyfriend Chris lost 1lb this week also bringing his total loss to 7.5lb!

We are doing so well and I'm very proud of both of us! My exams started today and Chris has very kindly offered to help and cook meals on days I am too busy studying! Yes, I do have the best boyfriend ever!

The topic in our meeting today was people who are your biggest support. Chris is definitely mine and so much so he was willing to join with me and do this along side me! I just want to say a HUGE thank you and I love you very much baby xx

Hope you all have an excellent week!!

Draw a line!

The Bank Holiday weekend seems to be time when people find it hard to stay on track. I have unfortunately been studying and working this weekend so haven't been in a situation to go off track.

When I do have one bad meal or day though this photo springs to mind. Seen it online a while back and just think its so true!

I will be weighing in a day early tomorrow as it suits better with my exams! Fingers crossed!! Wish me luck!

38lb Down..What a difference a little weight loss makes!

Hi All,

Feeling the cravings majorly all weekend! So far on track though! Sitting down now to a movie with a mini pack of popcorn (2) and a purple snack (3).

Fighting them off and staying strong! Have weigh in one day early as my exams start Tuesday so my schedule isn't as normal.

Fingers crossed it good! 1lb! 1lb! 1lb! I'll be happy with that!

Trying to keep motivated so took a new picture and have it on my phone to keep me going! Here it is!

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail!

Hi All,

Well good weekend so far! Really managing to keep on track, four weeks in and still feeling very positive about ww and losing weight.

My mantra is 1lb per week is 52lb in a year. My aim every week is for that 1lb. And so far so good. It's really keeping me going.

Didn't really enjoy my sandwich yesterday for lunch and I was so disappointed that my points were wasted on it. Just goes to show how important it is to keep the food tasty and enjoyable.

Another big thing I'm finding helpful is planning out the week. Every week after Weigh In, myself and my boyfriend Chris plan out a list of dinners and lunches for the week. Sometimes they can swap and change but still a list of lunches and dinners ready made and we make sure we shop for all the ingredients.

The last two weeks I have made a large batch of chilli mince with tonnes of veg and froze it in portions. It is so versatile! Can be had with pasta, on wraps, with mash as shepherds pie, with Nachos or with actifry chips and cheese as homemade Chilli fries! We make a list and pop it on the fridge, its really helping.

Breakfast is nearly always the same and easy to manage so thats why I haven't entered it

 Heres the List:
Hope you are all having a great week!
